Re: Champ Parts

I wanted to move this ad up since I still have all this stuff. I had actually forgotten about it until I was cleaning up the hangar. Anyone want all of it, except the GY tires, for $500? I paid closer to $1,000 for all of it with shipping and figure half price is reasonable. If not, make me an offer.

I miss my Champ!

Well guys, it has been a couple of years ago that my Champ flew to its new home on a lake about 100 miles away. I sure miss that bird!!! I have deep regrets selling it and know I will never be able to find another that was so heavily modified for the price I sold it. Seriously have been thinking of ...

Re: Aeronca hub caps Wanted

I know this is an old post but I may have some if you are still looking. I have a box of parts left over from when I sold my Champ. The new owner was only interested in buying the plane on floats so I kept alot of the spare wheels stuff. I think there is a list in the for sale section of all the par...

Re: My Champ is on the market

Thanks Mike, I will forward the info to the club. Not sure they really want a project since that is what they do for a living. This club is just getting started and they are limited in what they can buy. I think they said they have around 10 members commited. They are planning $3,000 buy in for each...

Bob,
I sent them yesterday. Did you get them? If you did and are able to ost them in this thread I would appreciate it. :)
I guess one of these days I really should sit down and figure out how to post pictures.

Re: Federal A-1500A Skis

Bob, I think you meant that reply for me. :) Yes, the bottom of these are 8-9 inches wide and then I added extended UHMV (plastic) making them 12" wide. These skis do have the addition hole for lifting or dolly wheels. I am not a computer guru but I can set some pics to your email if I still have it...

Re: Federal A-1500 Skis

Mike, Yeah a wee bit nipply here this morning also, -29 in Bemidji!!! It is WAY up to -21 now......feels like a heat wave coming. LOL We've gotten dumped on with snow also. Had about 2 feet of that white crap earlier in the week. I plowed/blew snow for 3 days. Had to run to town to get parts yesterd...

Federal A-1500A Skis

I have a set of skis that have been painted (couple of runs) new UHMV un the bottoms that is extended out the sides. They are 12" wide. All new SS screws on the plastic, new cables, crust cutter, bungie cord, etc. I started rigging them for my Champ but sold the plane before this was completed so th...

Re: SC-1 Skis

The SC-1's I have seen are the early version of the 1500's from what I understand (probably wrong). The one's I have sen are very narrow and the tunnel is very boxy/square. Personally I would find A-1500's instead.

Re: My Champ is on the market

Bob, There are quite a few sets on Barnstormers for sale. Unless you are looking for a bargain basement price, they are all priced reasonably. I have a set to sell but I have WAY more in them then I will ever get for them so I may just hang onto them. I had a hard time finding a set under $1,000 tha...

Federal A1500's with extended bottoms

I had these skis almost completely redone with extended plastic bottoms. They are now 12" (or 13") wide and have all new cables along with new bungee material for you to rig them anyway you want. I bought new skag material also but can't seem to find it. This is all they could use but are totally us...
