Re: Tires for Chief

Just a thought out of the box, why not borrow a pair of tires to complete the inspection and I will leave the rest to your imagination....:)) :D

Justin-

You are welcome. It is a simple process once you get used to the hoops needed to make it happen. Size matters and images greater the 1024 pixels tend to occupy more than the normal window on a lot of computers.

Re: L-16 For Sale

Ed- An examination of the link you posted reveals it is to a 'home' directory on presumably your personal computer and there is no way the world can get there and access it. Aeronca Champ.pdf appears to be the file you want to share and if you email it to me I will be happy to put it up on shared se...

Re: Fly-in/Drive-in Jasper, AR. June 2nd, 2018

Justin- Picture posting has been a challenge here since Moses was a baby. At its infancy storage space was limited and budget restraints have kept the server storage low. The technique to post flyers or pictures is to upload to another site such as Snapfish or Google Drive and share the link. I use ...

Re: CA 65 Trim crank

Roady0309 I sent you an email describing how I found this data. The 65CA airplane 3 view drawing is 7-123 and there is a drawing list on it. http://aeronca.celinaux.com/pics/7-123.drawing_list_detail.png From this list I opened drawing 7-113 and found the detail area for the trim crank http://aeronc...

Re: CA 65 Trim crank

Well if you turn the crank in the nose down direction the tail will be coming up because the elevator is down because the trim tab is up creating high pressure on the top and low pressure on the bottom of the trim tab It this what your trim tab looks like? http://aeronca.celinaux.com/pics/1-500.scre...

Re: Continental A40

Paul-
Several months back there was a fellow in Reno with two engines he and was open for offers for. Aging daily, the progression of ICRSWINI (I can't remember stuff when I need it) is becoming worse. When the name pops back for a moment or two i will pass it along.

Roady0309 if you would be so kind as to post the information for Cole Wagner that worked for you and what you asked for I for one would find it helpful contacting him. My previuos attempts have gone unanswered and I just gave up.

Ryan welcome to the Aeronca community. Jerry Jackson hangs out around San Antonio and he's very knowledgeable about the aircraft among other things. Hopefully he'll check in here soon.

There's a lesson here for sure Jim. I have a similar issue and after learning of your nightmare I am content to let sleeping giants rest or whatever that saying is. The ironic part of this whole saga is you were trying to do the right thing. If you spend ten minutes researching Aeronca models on the...

Re: Champion 7JC Owner Died N610WA

Well this is one of those never ending mysteries. We know who bought the runway lights that were part of the same auction as this 7JC, but as of 21 JAN 2018 the new owner has not come forward or filed for a new registration in their name. People still ask....especially those who follow Aeronca aircr...
