Re: Champion 7JC Owner Died N610WA

Wonder if they found the logs.

Everyone should know what they paid for it at auction $8000 + $1200 premium.

Transporting it to Virginia from Iowa $3000 leaves a $1800 profit.

Re: Champ seaplane door pictures

Well I read your other post first and if you have the 337 for acceptable data I cannot provide further help. The copy 337 I recall seeing was very detailed and an A&P would not need a picture to aid them. It simply is a full span hinge attached to the door frame and door, the addition of a gas shock...

Re: Seaplane door pictures

I have a copy of the 337 paperwork that was approved for changing the door on a Champ to open vertically, but for the life of me cannot find where I have filed it. Don't despair it is somewhere and I will keep looking.

Re: Continental A40

Fresno doesn't have any?

They have gone on-line https://www.fresnoairpartsco.com/

and I see the A40 didn't make the website. (now I'm looking for the ad in Trade-a-Plane)

Great advice Paul. I would never have thought to secure the top of the fuselage using a rib stitch.

Re: New Chief Project

Welcome aboard and glad to hear the paperwork is handled. I was fortunate writing a casual letter to the previous owner of my Chief who just happened to have the logs that were missing. He was more than happy to send them to me.

Looking forward to following your progress.
