Champ and Chief Fuel Valve(s) STC Issued Today

So much for the March 8-12 time frame, right? I feel like there should be fireworks or something! Anyway, I just received a phone call from the Anchorage ACO that they have issued STC SA02370AK to me for the Champ main nose tank valve, Chief main fuel valve and Champ & Chief Aux tank valve. I will w...

Re: Update on Champ and Chief Valves

Cost per valve will vary depending on which valve is needed. The BAR-1-2403 nose tank valve will be the most expensive because of the complexity of the parts that are required to make the valve; i.e., the new stainless steel u-joint, the stainless steel stem stop and modification of the stem to fit ...

Update on Champ/Chief Fuel Valves

As for the Champ/Chief fuel valves: the ICA has been turned in for FAA AEG in Kansas City, KS to pass their blessing on it. The drawings have been submitted to the DER for his final approval. Have not heard back from him as yet. I don't expect to have to make huge changes if any. Just like all FAA S...

Re: WANTED: NEW Sedan buyer

The 80" constant speed prop STC (separate from the 180 HP STC) that we hold uses a damper on the propeller hub just behind the spinner backing plate. This damper ELIMINATES the RPM restriction that is present on the original 76" constant speed prop that is still part of the original 180 HP STC. You ...

Re: WANTED: NEW Sedan buyer

Just an update: In the airplane business, things are looking up! (pardon the bad pun!) I have had three inquiries about the new, turnkey Sedan to date. One fellow asked if that was the "base price" and I finally had to answer yes in that radio/com/gps, etc. installation is the owners' responsibility...

Re: WANTED: NEW Sedan buyer

Just a note here; This cost/purchase price for the new plane does not need to be paid in full up front. There will be progressive payments required as production requirements arise. Most likely in $15,000-$25,000 increments. I know this sounds like a lot money but this is what it takes anymore just ...

Re: New rudder pedals for the Sedan and Chief Photos!

Oh, would that this were all true! Sorry if I may have led Joe to understand that we have rudder pedals, too. Unfortunately right now we do not. Seems that a very large cost of tooling and start-up keeps getting in the way. The pedals shown are some used pedals that Tom Lee had from his second Sedan...
