Fly-in/Drive-in Jasper, AR. June 2nd, 2018

Post by AR_Hillbilly » Thu May 10, 2018 16:39

Fly-in Lunch at Day Field (uncharted), Jasper, AR. on June 2nd, 2018
We were close to being ready to attempt a fly-in last year when the Tornado came through and reversed all of our plans. So a little more than a year later we are going to give it another shot. Nothing fancy, just wanting to get folks together for some food and conversation. Plus give the country folk something to talk about on Sunday.

It doesn't seem I can attach a picture on here, not sure if my status has to be upgraded after paying my dues or not. The info below is on the flyer.

Airstrip details:
Length: 2000 X 50 Ft. grass strip
Direction: 14/32
Elevation: 1,219' Lat/Long:
35.9803 / -93.1067 35° 58' 49.08" / -93° 6' 24.12"
Comm: 123.450

Normal operations involve landing uphill to the southeast and departing downhill to the northwest.
There is no fuel or tie downs on the field.
Further Airstrip details and aerial images can be found at
https://airfield.guide/default.asp. Hit the “Search Airports” tab at the top of the webpage and enter RALFDAY in the search field.

Serving Lunch: 11am-2pm
Menu: Burgers, Hotdogs, chips, baked beans, potato salad, desserts and drinks

If possible RSVP by emailing Justin.reddell@gmail.com or by text to 501.680.5203
If there are any questions please contact Justin at the previously given number.

Justin-
Picture posting has been a challenge here since Moses was a baby. At its infancy storage space was limited and budget restraints have kept the server storage low. The technique to post flyers or pictures is to upload to another site such as Snapfish or Google Drive and share the link. I use personal site for this purpose and it seems to work. Limiting the size to 800x600 permits the image to be displayed without haveing to use a scroll bar.

If you would attach the flyer/image to an email to me I would be glad to post it using my hosting site.

Thank you Richard for getting that uploaded up for me. Now that I know the work around I can make that happen in the future.

Justin-

You are welcome. It is a simple process once you get used to the hoops needed to make it happen. Size matters and images greater the 1024 pixels tend to occupy more than the normal window on a lot of computers.
