Hey does anyone have pictures or plans for a straight float seaplane dolly. One I can use to launch the plane?
Not looking for one to just move it around.

Re: Seaplane takeoff dolly help needed
I have seen it done about 4 times. Three times they just used a flatbed trailer or flatbed truck. the truck started down the runway with the planes engine idling and when they reached a speed just under stall the plane ran up the throttle and flew off the trailer as it passed the stall speed. The other time used a flatbed dolly with the plane on the dolly which was tethered to a following truck. Same scenario execpt the plane had a larger part in controlling the direction down the runway. Nothing too special about either process, but I am sure there was a lot of precoordination between the pilot and the truck operator.

Well, I've not seen it done 4 times, but I've done it that many times myself. Here in the cold places, I put the plane on wheels every winter! One small correction, if you're taking off from a trailer, let the airspeed get to at least 10 mph over stall for safety
What I'm looking for is help constructing a dolly. I've google searched the heck out of it, did find some pics but no plans or good enough pictures to make one from.
A dolly sits under the floats, and the plane can taxi and run down the runway with it, when it flies off, the dolly just coasts to a stop and is retrieved by friends. Most have a simple automatic brake that is activated when the plane lifts off.
