Found this on another site
It's mostly of Marlboro Airport, Ma.
I bought my 1st plane there. A C120 back in '74.

HI Joe,
Those photos are amazing, so nice for us younger generation to see what "real" flying was like back in the day where tail-wheel aircraft were a normal sight and the tricycle aircraft were somewhat out of place (especially on smaller aircraft)! I enjoy looking through my fathers photo albums at his flying career but always ending with an "I wish I were born in those days so I could fly that!" comment.

The real amazing thing is that it looks like the Chum was in Mass!
There are two unpublished photos of the 12 in this series and one looks like a little
bit shop worn. Did it end up in Mass? Plus a really neat overall worn by a mechanic with an Aeronca logo on the back.
Plus old 11 Series photos, a fleet of 7 series, interior of 15 series... an Aeronca lovers treasure trove!

Upon further review, I wonder if the more likely scenario is that the Chum was photographed by
someone from the Mass. when they went back to the factory to FAF a Champ for the school.
The building looks like the old factory photos, like they stuck the Chum around back? Anyone
want to hazard a guess? The photo is down the page.

Sorry, I was really excited to see these Chum photos!

Great pictures! A Hellcat from Anacostia Naval Air Station near D.C. The GI Bill was very important to these fields in those days, kept them going, plus airmail contracts with the gov. I also spotted the Super Cruiser that those two flew around the world. Isn't it now in the Dulles collection? Really wonderful photos! JP

N19968 DC-3 in Eastern Livery in picture destroyed 1978
Keep the pointed end forward--

Grumps I started doing the same thing but got interupted before I finished. Thanks for providing this info. I started wondering after looking at the pics how many of these birds were still flying too.
