Fuel sight gauge

Post by Jerry Jackson » Thu Sep 08, 2016 06:11

The Aeronca T uses an exposed, plastic fuel sight gauge. I would like to change to a sight tube that is surrounded by a protective shield. Does anyone know if either the following sight gauges from Wag Aero could be adopted for this purpose?

Sight gauge for PA 12, 14, 20 Wag M-311-000
Sight gauge for PA-18 Wag M-937-000

Any other suggestions?

Jerry,
Mine has the PA12 style. I did have some new glass tubes built should anyone need them. I would go to Univair, Wag Aero stuff is generally bad unless they buy it from somebody else.

Paul

I ordered the PA-12 style from Wag before I received your advice. I'll let you know the results.

I already got one of your glass tubes that I will use in it.

Thanks
