four nutplates under floorboard
four nutplates under floorboard
My 7EC has a rectangular steel frame around 4 X 5 in. with four nutplates. There is one on each side between the outboard front seat mounts (closer to the back one). My old floor boards have a D shaped cutout roughly corresponding to this. I have pictures but I'm not sure it is possible to post them. I got this as a basket case and I am having trouble figuring out what this is for. Can anyone help?

Re: four nutplates under floorboard
Jeff, are they to mount Scott master cylinders on top of the floor? Some 60's Champs had them. A friend has a 1963 7HC and it is set up that way. David J./Jasper GA

Thanks David. Mine is a 63 also so that seems like a good possibility. I am putting in a toe brake conversion that has the brake cylinders on the front rudder pedals so I won't need these if that's the case.
