Does anyone know where you can purchase the door latching mechanics in the interior of the door, the ones on our plane are wearing out and need replacing?

John,
I believe Wag-Error has them. Be ready for the price quote. Code 8.

I would like to learn where Wag-Aero buys their door latches. I'm think they don't build them, just buy them already made. I think they want $99 each!

I'm sure there made in China. I would try Univair for parts first. Always use Wag Aero as a last resort. I hate to say that but over the years they have really let me down......QC is never implemented over there.

I did an internet search for the the door latch and found that, I believe, Bargman, a company that makes RV parts, including door latches, now owns the company that made the original Aeronca door latches. I emailed Bargman but never received a response. The latch looks so generic but I have never found a latch like Aeronca's.

Any one else have any thoughts or information?

The door parts are either Aeronca made or from the Decker company of that period.

Yes, I'm pretty sure Bargman bought out Decker.
