I wouldn't mind trying it in my Sierra. A little more comfort and I can slow it down to match the Champs.

Have a great flight and post lots of pictures. Did Melbourne, Florida to Rockland County New York back in the 60s. Today I am not sure my back could take it all.

Lifting a full tank and reinstalling it every time you fuel up I would think would be as dangerous if not more than fueling from an approved container. I agree you should do some more checking with the airport. The reason I did the modification was not to be able to take the tank in and out all the ...

I would imagine that they could be rigged in that way. If you can carry filled tanks to your plane, why could you not bring filled legal fuel containers to it and dump the fuel in? It would seem an easier fix. When my wing tank in my 7CCM started acting up, I had it removed and repaired. When it was...
