Re: Aeronca Sedan Parts Give Away!

Thanks so much to Burl's Aircraft for my new Sedan Hat - I will wear it with pride when ever I am flying the Sedan

Re: Middletown 2021

Glad that you had a good time. I know how much work goes into these as I have run a number of similar, though smaller events in the past. Takes a lot of dedicated help. Congratulations on your 22nd Wedding Anniversary. I was living in Naperville for my 22nd and 23rd. Never made the 24th though! Mayb...

Re: Middletown 2021

Unfortunately, I will not be able to make this event, though I would love to. During my days running a division of Stone Container, I had responsibility for a plant in Middletown. So how are things at Clow International Airport? I was a part time flight instructor there from 1986 through 93 and then...

Re: Looking for blueprints (not on cd)

If you become a paying member and pay for dues to cover your first two years, the club will send you a CD with all the drawings on and you will have your own full set.

Re: KHTO Needs Your Help

Just wanted to update everyone on the situation at KHTO. The "So No to KHTO" group is working tirelessly to get the airport shut down. The township has put out a list of the possible outcomes: 1. - Shut the airport down completely and turn it into park land or other community service land....

Re: 1948 Sedan Cowling Fasteners

Hope you can find your parts. I am in a partnership on a Sedan and know how hard it can be to find parts. A lot less availability than for Champs and even Chiefs.

Re: 1948 Sedan Cowling Fasteners

Sorry, I just assumed you knew who Bill is, Every Aeronca owner should have Bill Pancakes number in his or her speed dial. Bill has forgotten more about Aeronca's than I will ever know and Bill has a super memory. In most Aeronca Owners opinion, Bill is the definitive expert on all things Aeronca. B...

Re: 1948 Sedan Cowling Fasteners

Have you given Bill Pancake a call? The guys up at the shop at the Argyle Airport in Argyle, New York have rebuild a few Sedan's. You might want to give them a call too.

Re: Chief Cargo Space

Drew, Give me a call tomorrow. 631-374-9652. I moved from the Chief to a Sedan. I am 6'1" and 190 and when I had the Chief, it reminded me of the MG Midget I had in 1972. It was tight getting in, but once in, fine for me.

Re: Chief Cargo Space

I found that the cargo space in my Chief, was about the same size as the cargo space in my Champ. Not a huge amount, but it held a full size battery, chocks, life vests, spare tie down ropes etc. as well my flight bag and two small back packs and that was without stacking higher than the cavity. Wha...
