Re: C 85 engine baffel question

Hey Paul I would be interested in your baffle templates. I have decided to build my own. If possible I would like to take a look at your baffle templates. Do you have ALL the templates or just some of them. Del Chase 14710 Northridge Rd Sonora, Ca 95370 Columbia Airport O22 alongside the grass strip...

Re: C 85 engine baffel question

Here is the baffels that were from wag for a C85 that I installed on my first C85. From what you say they are indeed for a A65. I have about 500 hours on them with no heating problems. My preference would be the correct baffels but I have no first hand experience with them. It is time to do something...

Style 2 is very straight along the valve covers. On my last restoration I used the wag c85 baffel kit and it was of the curved type. But ...

Re: Tailwheel spring tension??

Mike

I have drawing 3-486 from American Champion. Cost me 40 bucks, was worth the validation to install on my Champ.

Del

I have 1,500 landings on it and still performes as new, with yearly servicing

Re: Continental C-85-12 Accessory case wanted

Mike The cost was around 300 dollars. I also put new driven and driver gears and plate. The work looks very good and I'm a happy customer. This should take care of the oil pump. I can only hope whoever buys this airplane appreciates it. I'm not skipping any corners. Should be done next spring and wi...

Re: Continental C-85-12 Accessory case wanted

Richard While at the machine shop the bores for the driven and driver oil pump gears in the accy case were clearly outside the service limits. Hi All

Looking for a servicable C85-12 crankcase cover. I have heard that the 0200 case will also work. Any help locating one would be welcomed.

Re: Need Camshaft for C 85

I spent the afternoon checking out availibility from all my scorces that i could muster and came to the conclusion that indeed NEW cam availibility for these little engines is very very limited at this time. I was able to find several that were used and claimed to be OK but the cost comparision to t...
