Help

I asked for some help with drawings of some cockpit pieces which I need to make replacement pieces for my 11AC. I made the request on the Postwar Chief section thinking these might be the most likely holders of these drwgs. In the absence of any response, I have decided to move the request to this "...

Help Request for AERONCA Drawings

I need 3-508, 3-509 and 3-521 if anyone has them. Also ran across a reference to " AERONCA Drawing List 4237" which is purportedly a list by Drwg # and title of all AERONCA drawings. would love to be able to find that too, although my personal needs are relative only to Post War Chiefs. If you can h...

Re: Towbar designs

Hi Bob, I'll pass on the bargin price. After looking at Aircraft Spruce, I decided that I must be able to build a simple thing like that. ( maybe famous last words) .And that is why I asked for design experience. In the meantime, I have found what I believe to be the requisite materials laying aroun...

Re: I miss reading lot of daily posts

Please let me add to the voices for this E-mail forum. However, I am afraid it will take something more than remorseful babbling to breath life back into it. No doubt, the Facebook format has proven to be preferable to many of our members so they no longer are providing topical material. I believe t...

11AC wing support

I'm sure some one here has done this but I can't seem to find it. I need to elevate my wheels in order to replace the Brake disc clips on my Goodyear Brakes. Since I don't have access to a usable hydraulic system, I would like to fabricate a support to use under the tie-down clamps to get the wheels...

Re: MedEx form

Bob,
I think your comment on usage of this forum is nearly correct insofar as frequency of usage. I do want to point out that I'm still here lurking but suspect that the Facebook version has perhaps contributed to its' demise.

OSHKOSH 2015

Beginning to make plans for the trip in my Chief. Anyone here who has made the trek from Pennsylvania with experience and advice ?

Re: Chief Door Restraints

Mike, I had ( and still do have) this problem. When I first worked on it , obtained the drawings for the original AERONCA parts and made up new stops. This was a disaster ! It amounts to a clamp assembly which is bolted onto the rear strut which then only gave the door a slide-over catch with no con...

Re: PETITION for change to ADS-B

Sorry, the link works with the addition of a right hand slash between the ....com / 135oluu This brings up the submission detail by John Collins. To see what he actually proposed, you have to go down a few lines, open the icon labelled DOC and that is a proposed modification of 91.215 and the relate...

PETITION for change to ADS-B

Please look at this petition and see if it doesn't make sense to you. View the proposed petition at. http://tinyurl.com135oluu This affects both aircraft w/o electric systems at time of manufacture and some later model aircraft which would gain from being able to just continue operation with their M...

Re: Message Traffic on NAA Forums

Bob, I am going to reply to your question as I understand the problem. If anyone with more comprehensive knowledge reads this and can explain it better or correct this, please chime in. Even if there is a facility for attaching a photo or drawing or text article to a message to this forum, it (the w...

Message Traffic on NAA Forums

There has been recent discussion of a lessening of traffic on this forum. One of the arguments had to do with a moderator not approving some persons' message(s) and another that Facebook traffic on this site was somehow limiting the amount of detail on this forum. Moderator holdup of message can be ...

OAT GAUGE

Anyone have one that can be easily mounted in my Chief ? I know there must be several options available from normal vendors but I decided to shop here first.
