Re: Climb props

Thanks Paul, I,ll admit to not being on top of this prop game. I was aware of the trDe-offs you mentioned but am not real sure how to quantify one prop against another. With the price of 100 LL increasing all the time maybe I can go to Mogas and reinves the difference in tanking up ! Are you aware o...

Climb props

Did a search this AM for climb props used on 11AC's and came up with only a 2008 and a 2009 post. I am discussing this with both Sensinich and McCauley to get their respective recommendations and would like to add any Forum member knowledge to my fact-finding. I currently have a W 72 CK 42 wood prop...

Re: Chief Rudder Rigging

You don't say how much less than "full deflection"you get but apparently enough to spend money on new cables. With 15 view of this message, I'm surprised that you haven't gotten some comment from the A&P/IA segment but would think that someone ought to do a full rigging check before cable replacemen...

Re: Ohio Official Aircraft

aeronca champ, At this moment, I have no idea , but will ask around and see what I can find out. Probably a lot of help from Cub lovers and a simple request to a state legislator. Richard, As I'm sure you know, the Piper legend was built around the Cub and it had great economic impact in the Lock Ha...

Goodyear Wheel/Brake Assembly for 11AC

Two Part question: 1) Can anyone help me with the Goodyear Explosion Drawing for this assembly. Please note that I am asking for the Goodyear drawing(s). I have the applicable Aeronca drawings but I need the Goodyear drawings, if possible. 2) Also, does anyone have a single wheel assembly for an 11A...

Like your idea, but would prefer "Aeronca" to just champ.

Re: Aeronca Drawings

Thanks Richard, I must have been stuttering to get so many. Your approach sounds great but I don't know how I can do it other than manually changing each title. With the number I'm looking at, that is prohibitive. Were you able to get a software solution to this ? My drawings are stored in "Document...

Aeronca Drawings

Does anyone have a compilation of Aeronca drawings by Drawing title or Subject ? I have a fair number of drawings which I can access but can only access them by Drawing Number. This sounds like a grade school topic in Computer usage but I haven't yet figured how to reorganize the documents files so ...

Re: Repair of broken fiberglass wheel pants for 11AC

Paul, Sounds pretty common sense to me. The "Pants" that I am working with are about 3/16 " wall thickness and one of them is into two two pieces ( in the middle, front to back). For a case like that, would you use a similar thickness piece on the inside to bridge the interface? What kind of binder ...
