Looking at the poll with 28 respondents, it amounted to 32% of us flying light sport, 32% with 3rd class, 11% have a current instrument rating and 25% have a higher rating. I suspect that's a fairly accurate picture overall. Especially for the type of aircraft we fly, although I thought there might be more with at least a 3rd class rating.

Joe,

The Tailwheel Instructors section sounds like a decent idea. One good sticky thread could have instructors post their names, locations, aircraft (if available), services, etc for anyone looking for training or BFRs. The rest of the section would be a good place to ask training or reg. questions.

Shannon,

Well, it took me forever but FINALLY got the time to set up a new forum!

As per your suggestion, the: "Light sport and tailwheel Instructors" is located here:

Hope this helps! Any more suggestions, pls let me know.

As I wait to put all the information together to re-apply for my 2nd Class Medical (I am a cancer survivor) I have been flying Light Sport in an Aeronca Chief on Floats and an Aeronca 7CCM on wheels. I have been having so much fun that when I get my medical back (the AOPA Medical Review Group says that I will be ok as long as I pull everything to gether) I will continue to fly these as well as my other aircraft that I can not fly at the moment. Ratings should be talied in the last category Higher.
